Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), Consequences of the War and Perspectives for Developments

Political-Executive Board of the Left Party of Iran
In the current situation, the ceasefire cannot be considered the end of the war, but rather a new stage of competition and redefining the balance of power between the conflicting parties. The recent clashes after the ceasefire, rather than being a sign of the beginning of a new war, are reflection of each side's efforts to consolidate its understanding of the results of the war and increase its bargaining power in negotiations

The majority of issues covered in the MOU are in Iran’s favour. The colonial designs of Trump and Netanyahu have been dealt a deserved blow. To compare Obama’s JCPOA to the present MOU, this is a weaker deal for the US than the one Obama achieved. For the world as a whole, however, it is a positive outcome.
